An up and coming new author has published her first novel which is now available to buy. Abi Payton's book; "When the Lonely Walk", is set in Weston-super-Mare and centres around a young woman called Heather who has just turned eighteen and moved from an adolescent psychiatric ward to an adult one in the town.
Frustrated with her situation, she jumps over the back fence and runs away. The novel goes between two narratives, one where the reader follows the night of Heather's escape and the oother where we learn of Heather's experiences that have led to her going into hospital in the first place.
